IP66 Single-Panel Outdoor Display – Floor or Wall
A single-panel outdoor display rated IP66 with full-lamination bonding, installable either on a floor stand or on a wall. IP66 adds protection against powerful water jets to the dust-tight seal, which suits exposed sites where rain arrives driven sideways rather than falling straight down. One continuous panel means no multi-screen seams to align.

Overview
IP65 and IP66 are often treated as interchangeable, and on a sheltered wall they nearly are. On an exposed site they are not. IP66 covers protection against powerful water jets, which is the condition you get where rain is driven sideways across a forecourt, or where a screen sits near a wash-down area. This single-panel outdoor display is rated IP66 for those positions.
The panel is a single unit, so there is no multi-screen alignment to maintain and no seam line through the middle of the image. Installation is either floor-standing on a support or fixed to a wall, which means the same product can serve a pavement position and a building face. Full lamination bonds the display to its cover glass across the whole surface, keeping the image clear when the sun is on it.
Configuration and Options
Decide the mounting first, because a floor stand and a wall bracket are different products with different installation sequences. Then consider the site: is the screen sheltered by a canopy, or fully exposed to driven rain? If it is fully exposed, IP66 is the right choice and IP65 would be marginal. Send site photographs, the mounting surface and any local signage rules, and we will confirm the panel proportion and fixing detail for your quotation.
Assessing Site Exposure
Exposure is a site question, not a product question, and it is worth assessing honestly before choosing between ratings. Stand at the position in bad weather, or ask the site manager where water actually reaches. Corners of buildings, gaps between structures and positions beside vehicle routes all collect driven rain that a sheltered wall never sees. If the screen sits under a canopy or in a recess, the exposure is moderate. If it faces open ground, a road or a wash-down bay, treat it as severe and specify accordingly.
FAQ
Should I choose IP65 or IP66?
IP65 suits sheltered wall positions under a canopy or overhang. IP66 is the safer specification where the screen faces driven rain or sits near wash-down activity, as on forecourts and service areas.
Can it be converted from floor to wall later?
Floor stand and wall mounting are separate configurations agreed at order stage. Tell us if you expect to change the mounting later and we will advise on the practical options.
Is a single panel better than a multi-screen build?
For a single continuous message, yes. There are no seams to align and no risk of panels drifting out of register. Multi-screen builds are for wider formats, which is why we offer dual and triple versions.
